Is participation in the program free?
Yes! Participation in the program is 100% funded by the European Union and therefore free of charge for CEOs selected in the program.
How much of my time will the program require?
The SkillUp program lasts a total of 5 weeks. Weekly or biweekly events will require 3 to 5 hours, plus a two-day, two-night offsite retreat.
Are the classes in-person or online?
This is a hybrid program featuring both online and in-person events that require attendance. Check out the detailed program here.
What are the main topics?
The program covers general topics such as Understanding the AI Era, Branding and Marketing, Governance, Environmental and Social Responsibility, Growth Mindset, and External Growth, as well as sector-specific courses in Tourism, Food, Manufacturing, Software & Digital Solutions.
What are the 1-on-1 clinics?
Each participant will have the opportunity to discuss their ideas and challenges one-on-one with global industry experts. Clinics cover marketing & branding (Bruketa&Žinić&Grey), AI solutions (Ekimetrics) and Governance (Croatian experts).
What does the offsite retreat involve?
The two-night offsite retreat is either held in Zagreb, Rijeka or Split, depending on the selected cohort. The retreat begins with participant arrival on Wednesday at 1 PM and concludes with departure on Friday after a light lunch at 1 PM. All accommodation expenses are covered by the SkillUp program.
Where are the launch & final events held?
Zagreb (Esplanade Hotel).
Is translation offered for English classes?
Yes! Courses delivered in English provide simultaneous translation into Croatian.
Is there a certificate for successful completion of the program?
Yes! Participants who successfully complete the program and attend at least 75% of events will receive a certificate.
Do I need to attend all classes?
To successfully complete the program, you must attend at least 75% of all events and the offsite is mandatory.
Does the program offer additional resources?
Yes! Participants gain access to podcasts and videos covering various business topics, including AI advancements, market trends, and strategic planning. More importantly, the best candidates will get access to additional masterclasses and mentoring.
Who can apply to the program?
The program is open to CEOs of Croatian companies that meet the following criteria:
- Number of employees: 10–250
- Turnover: minimum 500,000 Euros
- Operations: more than 3 years
Can only CEOs join the program?
This program is only open to CEOs. In some cases, managing directors may also be eligible.
